RSA CTO details security strategy

Story posted on: February 06, 2007

At the RSA Security Conference we sat down with Bret Hartman, CTO of Information Security at EMC/RSA to discuss the company's latest news including, it's relationship/integration with big brother EMC, the buzz around "Information Centric Security" and a quick roundup on RSA's product portfolio. Hartman was the technical lead at EMC behind the RSA acquisition and responsible for the strategy focusing on information versus perimeter security. During our conversation, Hartman pointed out the importance of RSA's Common Architecture Plateform, a software-as-a-service solution that will eventually be integrated/used in all EMC's products. "That's the whole point of the acquisition", recalls the EMC executive.
