In a nutshell, EMC's Security Vice-President and former CEO of RSA believes anti-virus, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc... are things of the past and promotes instead its Information Centric Security strategy around three key points:

1- Minimising/mitigating risks vs building a perfect security system;
2- Adapt the security schemes to the environnement by building pattern recognition tools inside applications
3- Finally, proactively assessing and understanding IT risks... what he calls "defense in depth".

Nice marketing blurb... wil have to see how this gets implemented at customers' premises.
