[PMA Sneak Peak] Sharpics demonstrates D-Flector portable/tabletop photo studio

Story posted on: March 07, 2007

At the Sharpics booth I got a demo of the D-Flector. Resembling a briefcase, this portable photo studio can be used on any tabletop or desk and is ideal to photograph products (jewelries, toys, glass...). Just put the object on the reflective material, set up a digital camera on a monopod and start shooting.
The reflector comes with three backgrounds: a reflective silver which is activated by flash and gives you that white background and objects appear to be floating on the air, a black and a mat backgrounds. For the table top lighting, we recommend to use a 30 watts bulb which is about 500 kelvin and is a kind of daylight balance so that your colours appear right . The D-Flector comes in 2 sizes, 20" ($69.95) and 40" ($119) to which you can add a table monopod for $50 and 2 tabletop lights for $120.
