At the Conector Showcase this evening, Plantronics showed the CS70N, the second generation of its wireless office and contact centre headset range that now adds noise-canceling microphones. Nothing news really: the headset was announced at CEBIT last month. The new DECT headset will be available next month and can be used up to 100m from the desk/phone. "You can go to the restroom and still answer your calls", said the lovely hostess at the Plantronics booth. The headset is pricey at around 300 dollars and includes the IntelliStand that senses when the headset has been removed from the base, automatically lifting the corded phone handset and directing your call into the headset. Cool for office workers... but for me, my cell phone is my *only* phone!
