A very special day in a Google developer's life

Story posted on: May 31, 2007

Over a thousand Google developers showed up at the search engine's Developer conference held today at the San Jose convention centre. At first, it was planned to be hosted at the Googleplex in Mountain View, but surprised by the flood of registered developers, the company had to quickly find another spot to hold the event. If I was a Web developer, this would certainly be one of my favourite event... by far...
lots of info, open source code, tools, tips, the presence of the "fathers"/creators of the presented technologies, a nice dilettante atmosphere, lots of food and drinks, and a fusball... sounds like the Googleplex but transported from Mountain View to San Jose! And because Google knows that you won't miss that for the world... a free trip to the "real" Googleplex for a giant mashup party in the evening! Now that's cool ;-)
