[HP Technology Forum] The fact that customers still buy SPARC shows that performance must not matter, says HP

So Sun is the last poney in the race for speedy servers' chips, HP and IBM being way ahead. Well at least that's how HP sees it!
"Nobody thinks that SPARC is any good performance-wise. So the only comparison we ever get from customers evaluating performance is with the IBM Power processor [...] Sun is never on the conversation but they do have very loyal customers", said Scott Stallard, HP's vice president and general manager of enterprise storage and servers.
