Konichiwa iPhone! (video)

Story posted on: June 30, 2007

Our friends from the Nikkei's Silicon Valley office in Palo Alto bought the iPhone to try it out even if Apple's phone won't be available in Japan until next year. They actually queued since 10 on Friday morning to make sure to have one. That's dedication!

According to UberPulse's video editor, Yukiko (on the picture), the keyboard is a bit "troublesome" i.e. not so easy or comfortable to use. Mistakes are frequent and you can't really type very fast. At least, the very first time you try the phone. Perhaps that will change with practice.

However, Yukiko really liked the browser user interface, although it was not possible to watch YouTube videos on the iPhone Internet browser (Safari), because it lacks Flash support. Surely, this will be resolved sooner rather than later.

After playing with the iPhone for a while now, I must say the keyboard took me a few days to get used to and it was so frustrating but I got over it. I tested video quality on Youtube as well as on Zannel and what I found was interesting was that the Zannel videos on their are a lot more crip compared to the videos on Youtube.

I don\'t know if you tried a blackberry or a Treo keyboard, but if you did, how would they stack against the iPhone\'s virtual keyb?
