Apple came out today with new specs on the iPhone: longer battery life (8 hours of talk time vs 5 hours initially, 250 hours of standby time) and an optical screen surface vs plastic. Compare this with the 3 hours of talk time but 300 hours of standby time of the LG Prada and this is quite a remarkable tour de force. Especially as the Korean touch screen mobile phone has no iTunes sync support, no Wi-Fi, only a 3" screen vs 3.5" for the iPhone, slighlty thicker (12mm vs 11.6) and will not work in the US (tri-band vs quad-band). And as for the price, the Prada phone will be at least be $200 more than the iPhone. A non-starter... the Prada phone will surely be relegated to the museum of nice looking but totally useless phones!
