[Churchill Club] Climate change and US oil supplies vulnerability linked, says Senator John McCain (video)

Story posted on: July 16, 2007

Today, Senator John McCain came to Silicon Valley for a town hall luncheon meeting hosted by the Churchill Club at Santa Clara's Marriott hotel. The Presidential hopeful started his remarks on climate change quoting Tony Blair and sees the US oil supplies vulnerability as part of the whole climate change issue! Why not ;-)

"Suppose that climate change is not real and we are all wrong and yet we develop green technologies and better technologies to reduce greenhouse gases in the world. All we have done is hand off a cleaner and better planet to the next generation of Americans. But suppose we are right and do nothing, then what kind of a planet are we going to give the next generation of Americans. So the choice is clear. And it's about time that Republicans and Democrats, for maybe the first time in a long time, come together, sit down, and enact legislation that would seriously address this issue"
