Cisco: the only "real" Web 2.0 company in the world wide web? (video)

Story posted on: July 30, 2007

At last week's Networkers conference, John Chambers told a group of EU reporters (well... there was one Japanese journalist in Cisco's EU roundtable... what's wrong with that?) his enterprise is the only "real" Web 2.0 company... in the whole world ;-)
"Name me one company who really uses Web 2.0 across its architecture to enable its business strategy other than Cisco", said the Cisco chief.
Talking about a bold statement... this might get the World's one is the creme de la creme! I thought Anyway, I'm now challenging YOU... yes, last year's "person of the year" to email me some examples that would contradict John Chambers' statement that I would then compile on this blog and forward it to Cisco's CEO. So don't be shy ;-)

Although sometimes Silicon Valley could be renamed Web 2.0 Valley, seeing all the start-ups claiming to be in that space, I would sort of agree with Chambers that most "enterprises" are still playing/trying out Web 2.0 technologies, like in AJAX/Blogs/Podcasts/Social/Virtual networking, etc. Having said that, companies like Dell, Sun and even IBM have implemented some of those... So let's start, the conversation.
