Sandisk adopts Ducati brand for fastest flash memory cards/drive (video)

Story posted on: July 18, 2007

At a somptuous event (we'll have more photos and videos coming) in its Silicon Valley headquarters, Sandisk unveiled a new line of Ducati branded memory products,
including a sleek USB Flash drive that ressembles the red chassis of a Ducati motorcycle, as well as 2 Ducati edition Extreme CompactFlash (4 and 8 GB) and a 4GB SD Plus card. The latter features a snap-open USB connector that can be plugged directly to a USB port without requiring a cable reader. The Ducati line will be available worldwide in August, except for the USB drive that will ship outside the US in September. Suggested retail prices are $164.99 for the 4GB CompactFlash, $314.99 for the 8GB, $129.99 for the 4GB SD Plus card and $124.99 for the USB Flash drive.
