AMD Attracts VIP Crowd For Quad-Core Opteron Launch

CEO Hector Ruiz attracted a nice crowd for AMD's Barcelona red carpet launch event at Lucasfilm San Francisco campus, including Diane Greene (VMWare CEO), Jonathan Schwartz (Sun CEO), Mark Jarvis (Dell CMO) and Star Wars Producer, Rick McCallum.

The presentation was boring to death: a succession of hardware OEMS and ISV partners congratulating both AMD and themselves, live or worse... through video (Microsoft, IBM...)! I guess that was the price to pay to share the same air than this VIP crowd!
