I always enjoy reading the
San Jose Mercury News' Insider Trader column in the daily's business section (I remember reading it on Mondays though) to find out the new [and old] millionaires on the block. This time, the Merc highlights Synaptics co-founder Federico Faggin ($19.5M) as last week's top insider trading. Impressive of course. But after reading the table of names and amounts made (just in case I know somebody there!) I realise that $19.5M bucks was actually "peanuts" compared to the $306 millions Oracle CEO Larry Ellison made by selling 14 million shares (he still have 1.2 billion... like in B!) or the $60 millions Google director
Kavitark Ram Shiram made by just selling 100,000 shares (most of his holdings)! How can the Merc reporters missed that? Although, there's not much more to say about Ellison's extravaganza but I would definitely be interested to know more about the Google guy, who according to Forbes is yhe 253th richest American (he probably bumped up his score with this latest transaction though :-)
