Funny enough, that's exactly when Germany-based company Becker plans to introduce its high-end GPS systems, said Becker's MarCom manager Daniela Frohlich (pictured).
The German automotive accessory company, known for its high-quality car audio and GPS systems for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, is going after Garmin, Magellan, Mio and TomTom GPS high-end business in the US, with three GPS systems, all including a lifetime traffic information feed. With all the devices you'll also be able to watch videos and photos, listen to music and adjust the screen's mood light/brightness. The 3.5" entry-level GPS device will cost $400, whereas the top of the line will fetch $600 with Bluetooth connectivity et al. Now, it's going to be a tough decision: between $99 and $500... what would you choose? :-)
