Over 2 Hours To Install MacOS X Leopard!

Story posted on: January 23, 2008

Now that MacWorld 2008 is in the back mirror, I finally decided to upgrade my Mac mini to Leopard. The upgrade took over 2 hours to complete (and I'm not counting the time checking the installation DVD that can be skipped/avoid)! Is it just me or what? OK, I it was not the fastest Mac on the market... It's a 512 MB Mac mini, 1.85 GHz Core Duo machine with over 20GB of free disk space... but still... it's inside Apple's requirements range. Luckily I was having lunch and didn't really bother to check until before dessert... and I'm a slow eater! Really this sounds more like a typical Windows upgrade than an Apple one... And now rumour has it that Apple is going to release this Friday a massive 400 MB Leopard update... this is going to be a very very busy weekend :-(
