For Adobe CEO, Shantanu Narayan, AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) is the 25 years old company 4th platform, after Postscript, PDF and Flash.

"But what's most exciting about AIR frankly is that the more that gets unleashed, the creativity of developers around the world... The more we demonstrate the power of AIR as a platform", said Narayan.

During his keynote presentation, Adobe's CEO, also presented his company's vision for the future through 4 "we believe" statements:

Adobe believes in:

1) rich online experiences (thus AIR, I suppose);
2) the explosion of devices (especially non PCs like mobile phones and set top boxes);
3) new business model on the web (software as a service, ad-supported, open source);
4) and a dramatic proliferation of rich contents and applications (AIR again!).
