Apple To Unveil iPhone Software Roadmap, Release SDK, Enterprise Features

Story posted on: February 27, 2008

We just received this morning an invite from Apple to attend an event next week to learn about the "iPhone software roadmap, including the iPhone SDK and some exciting new enterprise features". The event will be held next Thursday at Apple's Cupertino headquarters.

My guess is that Apple will finally release the iPhone SDK and talk about corporate e-mail support, notably with Microsoft Exchange and perhaps even with Research in Motion’s Blackberry, IBM's Lotus Notes and Motorola’s Good Technology e-mail servers. And let's hope for some Flash support and perhaps a To Do list app!

Update. In a Q&A session at the Goldman Sachs Technology Investment Symposium in Las Vegas, Apple COO Tim Cook opened a bit the kimono on Apple's future plans. More about that on a later post.
