[ad:tech] The Future of Online Video Ads: Relevant, Searchable and Mobile (video)

Again, listening at eMarketer CEO, Geoff Ramsey, who's session was probably the best one at this year's show, marketers must deliver advertising that online video viewers want to see. The focus should be on relevancy and impact/entertaining... forget Pre-rolls. You must provide content tailor for the online video market.
- find a way to put video footage of your product/service on your web site;
- create video ads and put it on social networks or video sites like YouTube;
- create webisodes, series of ads. It's a great way to get viral going.

Ramsey also predicted a titanic shift in the mobile video advertising space driven by Google and Apple's iPhone:
- With the broad adoption of Google's AdSense for mobile;
- All the metrics, analytics, etc... marketers developed for the Web also works on the iPhone because it runs a standard Internet browser, equivalent to the one you can find on the desktop.

He then cited a quote from Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt:
"He said that 'mobile advertising is our single most exciting opportunity'. And when Eric talks, I listen", said Ramsey.
