[SD Forum] Ruby: the Next New Hot Technology for Web Applications
Story posted on: April 18, 2008

After a brief passage amongst the cool and chichi-esque advertising/marketing crowd (I might get to like that!) at ad:tech, I'm back to the root of what Silicon Valley is known best for: hardcore technology! And believe me, it'll be difficult to find more geeky than today's SDForum conference on Ruby, held in San Jose's Tech Museum (pictured). And you know it's techie conference when it runs also over the week-end! This Ruby thing got to be a real gem!
So what's Ruby? Well, it might be the next hot programming language, after PHP and Python, and its alter-ego, Ruby on Rails, the hottest framework to rapidly develop Web applications. More to come.
