[Red Herring Conference] Alex Vieux: Venture Capitalists Are Lazy! (video)

Story posted on: May 13, 2008

Is the Venture Capital model broken? Well, one would certainly think so after listening today at Red Herring magazine publisher Alex Vieux and later, to Adesso Ressi, the creator of controversial site TheFunded.com.
So what's wrong? First, venture capitalists are lazy (9 weeks vacation!). Plus, they only care about making a profit, regardless of what entrepreneurs go through or their sacrifices, at work or in their personal lives.
"They take 4 weeks during Summer. They take 2 weeks during Christmas. They take 3 weeks the rest of the year... Second, they are not align with your lifestyle, your economics, your business, your ethics... When they give you the money, they give it to you so late... The profession is diseased", added Vieux.
