Cisco Live '08: From the Server Room to the Board Room. Over 11,000 Attendees. Up from Last Year Inspite Down Economy (video)

Story posted on: June 24, 2008

Cisco's Chief kicked-off the company's premier customer event in front of more attendees than last year. And that's inspite of higher travel costs and a recessionary economy.
According to Lance Perry (pictured), Cisco's VP of IT Infrastructure and the conference's host, there are about 500 to 1,000 more attendees this year in Orlando, Florida than there were in Anaheim, California last year.

Wonder if it either reflects the success of the conference, which actually combines 3 events in 1 i.e. Networkers (for network administrators), IT Insights (IT managers) and IT Executive Symposium (CIOs) or the failure of teleconferencing/telepresence and all the "virtual" tools Chambers was talking about earlier.
