[HP Tech Forum] All Hard Drives Fail, DriveSavers claims (video)

Story posted on: June 18, 2008

Now you have it... and right from a company that has been in business for over 20 years recuperating failed hard disks.
"It's a matter of when, not if", said a DriveSavers' spokesperson.
At the HP Tech Forum, the Novato, California-based company was showing to a group of skilled I.T. managers how to destroy a bunch of hard drives but fell short of recovering any of them!
OK, all hardware fails but isn't the point being able to recover from disaster, right? And although backing up helps but it's not always the panacea. Anyway, Seagate is also providing such a service in-house.
And the video is fun to watch :-)
