PC Market Continues To Be Strong

The personal computer appears to resist the pull of this year’s worldwide economic downturn.
Research firm IDC said it now sees growth for the year of 15.7 percent in shipments from manufacturers. The firm had anticipated 15.2 percent in June.
Consumers continue to purchase PCs attracted by the growing popularity of low-cost laptops.
